OK so that's the "suit" bit done. I've been in the internet industry now since 1997. Along the way i've learned a few things about business... Firstly, no matter what a person is selling, no matter how good that product or service is, i am not going to buy from them if i don't like them. Secondly, if looking the part is what you feel is most important, even though that's not you (the fake it, until you make it approach) then eventually people will see through it, then go somewhere else... (see point one).
The last point (and probably the most important) is that in order for you to buy from me, i have to be the person i want my customers to be. Whaaaaaat??? allow me to explain... i don't want to be ripped off, i don't want to receive a rubbish service and if that person promises me something, then i want them to deliver it. I don't have to hug a tree or believe in Jesus to do this, it's just common sense.
I'm someone that gets excited about problem solving. I'm a trained graphic designer that turned to the dark side and started tinkering with websites. I quickly realised that IT and the Internet was something that could really benefit small businesses. Not just with marketing themselves to a wider audience, but actually saving you time and money by streamlining internal processes. er... what does that mean? Well, it means doing simple things like using a website to store all your business contacts, sales leads and customer information in one place. Allowing you (and your teams - if you want them to) to get access to that information anywhere in the world... on a computer or mobile phone (obviously the information is secure and not any one can access it).
The thing is, you know what works for your business but i'm guessing you don't believe you have the IT skills to do it. Maybe, like many larger businesses i've worked with, you leave the technical stuff to the youngest person in the company because they know how to access email and use a computer. That's fine for a while but when things start to get frantic and you're spending time fire fighting and chasing cash, that's when you need someone like me to help you find more time.
